As with any addiction you must have a plan for success.
Dr. OZ had a guest on his show that recommended the following and I try to remember this when I go to grab something to put in my mouth.
F-are you feeling frustrated-if so deal with those feelings
L- are you feeling lonely- if so engage
A- are you feeling anxious-why and address it
B- are you feeling bored-get involved with an activity
When you eat when you're not hungry, most likely one of these feelings need to be addressed, because none of these feelings will go away even after you eat.
